Its a beautiful morning as the young cowboy heads out on his trusty steed to take stock of the ranch, humming a little tune. When hes sitting on his horse, it feels like the most natural thing in the world. He barely has to use the reins, as his mount seems to know the route and picks his way along the trail with ease.
As they crest a small rise, he spots the remains of an unfortunate sheep that wondered from the flock and fell prey to the coyotes, but that is the law of nature and he can do nothing to change it. He begins to hum again, to brighten the mood, when suddenly he spots what looks to be some cattle rustlers up ahead.
He charges ahead without a second thought to the danger. His main concern is the safety of the herd. Fortunately on this day, the outlaws have no taste for more trouble and head off into the sunset.
After they disappear from view, he turns his horse toward a nearby campsite where hell keep watch for the night. Once hes settled in, and the horse is fed and watered, he lies down to look at the stars and smilesthis is the life!!
