The fourth piece from a collection of 18 intermediate studies for piano solo.

One of the "creepier" pieces that I have written. It mostly focuses on the major seventh interval, which is highly dissonant and leads to a feeling of unease throughout. I picture walking through a darkening wood, with fog rising from the earth. All around there are images, just barely visible in the mist. As the work comes to a close, it seems harder and harder to keep moving, leaving one to wonder if there is a way out.
