Product Description

Although named as a gallop, the Klipp-Klapp Galopp (Clip-and-clap Gallop) by Johann Strauss Jr. is a Quick Polka compiled based on motifs by his operetta Waldmeister. It premiered on 10 February 1896 in the Sofienbad Hall in Vienna directed by Eduard Strauss. The arrangement is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "New Year's Concert" on 6 January 2012 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria.
