KAHLIL GIBRAN (1883 1931), Lebanese-American writers, poets and visual artists book The Prophet, (USA1923) is one of the best-selling books of all time, translated into more than 100 languages. This book has always had a deep impact on my imagination and inspired me to compose these pieces in a melodious and tonal musical style with contemporary effects, attempting to follow them as closely as possible in giving them a musical expression. These well known and loved unique texts express an ecumenical spirit which renders them equally suited for a church or a secular concert.
The songs may be performed as a choral suite or individually and separately and are therefore uploaded on this site separately as well.
