Product Description

A rousing, enjoyable gospel-style arrangement of this familiar spiritual for SATB choir, hand percussion (tambourine, hand claps, and finger snaps), and piano accompaniment, this piece is energetic and fun to sing, and a great choice for church choirs, gospel choirs, and school choirs alike. The majority of the piece has a unison men's part, and could easily be sung by an SAB choir. The verses move through a variety of voicings, dynamics, and harmonies, featuring sections in unison, parts that feature men's or women's voices, and a final section that modulates upward several times, gospel-style, before coming to the triumphant finish. Swing, blues, and jazz influence the driving rhythms and close harmonies. A great performance piece, this song will have the audience moving and clapping along in no time.

Your purchase benefits the Frederic Bacon-Shone Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to inspire future generations of students through arts education at K-12 public schools.  Visit us at www.facebook.com/DrBMemorial
