Product Description
Arranged for two Violins, Viola and Violoncello, there is an alternative Violin3 (for Viola) and an optional Contrabass part which makes the arrangement useful for String Orchestra.
Moritz Moszkowski (1854- 1925), a cosmopolitan European, proud of his Jewish heritage, was born in Breslau, Prussia (now Poland). His set of Spanish Dances have been arranged for different Chamber combinations, including The Spanish Dance No 5 (Bolero) which was used in David Lean's film, Brief Encounter (1945). This piece, Spanish Dance, Op.12, No 1, has also, for good reason, retained its popularity in a number of different musical settings.
