Product Description

One of the most popular jazz standards, "I'm Beginning to See the Light" is a Duke Ellington classic. First recorded in the 1940s by big band vocalists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Eckstine the song continues in its popularity with artists such Natalie Cole and Michael Buble. This swinging big band arrangement by Bob Marshall provides the perfect showcase for your band's female vocalist. After a eye-opening intro, the song settles into a nice and easy groove with the rhythm section and vocalist. After a quick tenor sax solo followed by an entire-band ensemble, the vocal returns with a hard swinging bridge mellowing back to the relaxed groove for one more verse. An opportunity is given to the vocalist to improvise (scat) as the arrangement builds to a big end.
Written for 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, guitar, piano, bass, drums and vocal. Key of C.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
