Product Description

If you are looking for an early music option for your recital program, "Centone II" will give your program a dynamic start that provides plenty of solo lines for all brass quintet members.
A contemporary of the famous Heinrich Schütz, Andreas Hammerschmidt was a prolific composer of German church and instrumental music in the mid-17th century. From two of his instrumental collections written between 1636-1639, this five-movement baroque dance suite arrangement is in the tradition of English-influenced suites from northern and central Germany. The edition is arranged for a brass quintet of two B-flat trumpets with alternate C trumpet parts, horn, trombone and tuba. A recording of the complete edition is included.

See 150+ mixed brass ensembles and homogeneous horn, trumpet and trombone ensembles publications with Charles Decker Music Press at Sheet Music Plus for inexperienced to advanced musicians with music from the Renaissance to contemporary works for trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, septets, octets, brass choir and brass band. Many editions include alternate C trumpet parts for B-flat trumpet, flugelhorn/trumpet substitute for horn, horn substitute for trombone and treble clef substitutes for trombone and euphonium. All ensemble publications are digital download with preview recordings.
