Sara Teasdales poem "Stars" expresses wonderment and humility. The music helps convey the viewers experience of mystery before the universe and the joy of experiencing the stars radiant colors. This treble choir piece is set in the key of G minor and uses contrapuntal and homophonic textures alternately.

The recording features conductor Mike Saccomanno and the Mead High School Chamber Singers.
