Product Description
This is a new and exciting band arrangement of the European Anthem, which was adopted by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in January 1972. This arrangement would be ideal for concert or ceremonial events and is playable by any competent wind band. This band set is presented in a single PDF file and contains: full score (19 staff) plus parts for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 3 clarinets in B flat, bassoons, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, 4 horns in F or E flat, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, baritones TC and BC, euphonium (same part as baritones), tuba, timpani and percussion (3 players). The melody of the anthem is taken from the last movement of Beethoven's Symphony No 9, Op 125, often known as the Choral Symphony and it's a setting of Schiller's poem Ode to Joy. The symphony was completed in 1824.
