A lush setting of the famous hymn tune arranged for SATB choir and piano. Contains generous divisi. Appropriate for larger ensembles. Advanced intermediate. This arrangement for choir and piano is essentially an art song setting. It begins quietly in the key of F major, then builds slightly to stanza 2 in the key of D major. The full choir enters at stanza 3, forte, in the key of G-flat major, with a bit of divisi in the tenors. The piece winds down into a repeat of stanza 1, with a soloist taking the melody in the new key of E-flat major, ending softly.
