Before he gained fame as "The March King", becoming integral to the development and growth of The President's Own, John Philip Sousa was just another struggling musician who had to supplement his income by other means.  His skill as a violinist was useful for him to gain employment in theater orchestras, and he wrote songs and dance tunes for other entertainers.  This song, written with a jaunty early ragtime feel has been arranged for brass quintet, and will become a popular addition to any brass recital.
