Here is a mixed level, 1 piano, 4-hands duet arrangement of the delightful Swedish folk tune
"Children of the Heavenly Father." This arrangement differs from most EASY PIANO DUETS in that the SECONDO is the easy part and the PRIMO is the intermediate part. All notes in the SECONDO are played singly with the hands in one position centered around middle C. Both hands on the PRIMO play one octave higher.
The score is written in the key of G major giving the SECONDO practice playing an F-sharp in the left hand. Lyrics (adapted by Sharon Wilson) are included for the first verse only on the SECONDO part.
This arrangement plays through the short, 8-measure tune three times, beginning with a delicate, sweetly flowing, harmony played by the PRIMO. The second time through the song, the harmony expands, yet remains delicate and flowing. For the third time, the PRIMO plays the melody while the SECONDO adds a simple bass line. This beautiful hymn reflects the words of Jesus found in Matthew 6:26:
"See the birds of the sky, that they dont sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arent you of much more value than they?" WEB
The purchase price includes a 5-page combined score with both piano parts on each page plus the alternate format with the PRIMO and SECONDO on separate pages (2 pages each). Duration 1:30.
This arrangement is one of the 10 songs included in the Easy Piano Duets collection titled
"What Heavenly Music."
