This beautiful gem is a not very well-known piece of Franck's. Originally written for choir and organ, it featured 3 soloists among the choir voices.
This Alleluia was written to be sung at Easter services, however, as an instrument-only piece, it could be played at any time of the year.
Scored for 4 C, alto, bass, and contrabass. A bass may be substituted for the contrabass. There is also an optional cello part that can be played by any C instrument in a similar bass clef range.
This piece is 4 1/2 minutes long and is easy enough for choirs with intermediate skills.
