Product Description
A jazz reharm and elaboration of "Das alte Jahr vergangen ist" ("The old year now hath passed away", BWV 288), a meditative and grateful chorale with a fascinating chromatic accompaniment that evokes a passed year full of challenges and troubles, all resolved in the end; here arranged for two Violins, Viola and Cello. I've added to the Piano rich harmonical parts and a distant counter chant with Red Garland's chords to evoke a mysterious old-fashioned scenario, like the reminiscent soundtrack of an old black and white movie, while the original Chorale is assigned to the Strings.
SCORE and PARTS. Duration: 53".
