Product Description

David Popper (18431913) is celebrated as one of the great virtuoso cellists of the Romantic era, and his Polonaise de Concert, Op. 14 remains one of his most famous and dazzling showpieces. Originally written for cello and orchestra (with a piano reduction often used in performance), the work combines brilliant virtuosity, sweeping melodies, and the lively character of the Polish dance.

This arrangement for cello quartet transforms the orchestral accompaniment into three additional cello parts, supporting the solo line while preserving the brilliance and spirit of the original. The result is a unique chamber version that allows four cellists to enjoy Poppers masterpiece togetherideal for concerts, student ensembles, and cello festivals.
