Vadetrom is an original composition for brass quartet2 French horns, trumpet in B, and trombone.

The title is a playful fusion of the Spanish roots of each instrument in the ensemble: trompeta, trompa, and trombónhence, Va-de-trom.

Written in 2021 at the request of my chamber music professor, the piece was created to fill a gap in available repertoire for our class ensemble.

Combining lyrical phrasing, tempo changes, and heroic dynamic build-ups, Vadetrom offers intermediate to advanced players a dynamic, expressive challenge for chamber settings or student recitals.

Features a wide melodic leap (M9) in Horn 1, offering an engaging challenge in range control and accuracy.
