Product Description

This version of Rocket Man for String Quartet takes a different approach to this Elton John classic. The piece opens with a sparse groove that is held down by the Cello and which underpins the piece. With the melody shared among the remaining 3 instruments the music weaves its way through the verse and chorus of this tune and includes a number of 'surprises'. The piece culminates in a optional 'shout' chorus before restating the themes and ending with a spoken line in the top 3 strings over the cello bass line. The shout chorus (Section E) is optional and if desired the piece can be performed byjumping straight to bar 86 from bar 57. I hope you enjoy this rendition.
