Product Description

Children's Carnival, Op 25, by Amy Beach, has six movements: Promenade, Columbine, Pantalon, Pierrot and Pierrette, Secrets, and Harlequin. Amy Beach (1867-1944) was one of the most widely acclaimed American composers of her generation. This suite has much in common with the spirit of Robert Schumann's Scenes from Childhoon. Played in its entirety, the suite lasts about 11 minutes. The original version was for piano solo, and this arrangement is for standard woodwind quartet. All parts are included with the score. Children's Carnival may be played by intermediate to advanced students as well as by professionals. The sample audio is from a live performance, and it includes movements 1, 2, and 6.
