Product Description

"O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" was originally written in Latin as "Veni, Veni, Immanuel" over 1200 years ago and was translated into English by John Mason Neale in 1851 for his hymnbook. This hymn, which is sung during the season of Advent, is cherished for its smooth and slightly haunting melody and profound longing for the birth of Christ. Its verses recount the themes of Advent and Christmas: the captivity in sin, God's promise of liberation, the coming light to dispel the darkness.
