This version of Rocket Man for jazz ensemble ( scored for Male Vocal with 7 horns + rhythm section) takes a different approach to this Elton John classic. The arrangement is written in a funk style and includes a solo section for either guitar, piano or bass followed by a horn shout chorus. There is a spoken 'homage' to William Shatner's iconic 1978 version at the end of the piece with all instruments except drums and bass participating.
