This choral arrangement with organ and childrens chorus (or solo) features a new musical tune SONGS BEFORE UNKNOWN, 8.6.8.6 D, intended for use with Isaac Watts hymn Behold the Glories of the Lamb (his first hymn) as recorded on pp. 1-2 of Hymns and Spiritual Songs. In Three Books, 2nd ed., printed by J. H for John Lawrence at the Angel in the Poultrey, London, 1709. The text is set to a minor tune paired with a traditional harmony of markedly polyphonic texture.

The SATB arrangement is appropriate for choral singing at the high school or collegiate level or above with organ accompaniment. The arrangement includes a childrens chorus, which may be re-assigned as one or more adult solo parts, if necessary or desired.
