This arrangement by Richard McGee of a beloved Christmas carol is done in an episodic, respectful fashion for Brass Band. After the introduction, the melody is stated in an almost chant-like fashion. After that, each restatement builds in passion and power. Finally, after a great climactic section, the piece ends tenderly.  Written for experienced bands, there are several short solos for soprano cornet, solo cornet, repiano cornet, horn, baritone, and flugelhorn.
