Product Description

The trio sonatas BWV 525 - 530 were written between 1727 and 1732. According to the Bach biographer Johann Nikolaus Forkel, Bach wrote them as teaching material for his eldest son Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.

Within the complete works for organ, the trio sonatas deserve special attention, for what is special about these compositions is that the organ sounds like chamber music. With the possibilities of the many colours that the instrument possesses, one person can play three musicians at the same time.

The trio sonata is originally in E flat major. This arrangement for three flutes is transposed to G major.
