Poem translated from the Gaelic by Rev Kenneth MacLeod (1871-1955)
I saw a stranger yestreen
I put food in the eating place
Drink in the drinking place.
Music in the hearing place.
In the sacred name of the Triune,
he blessed myself and-my house,
my cattle and my dear ones.
And the lark sang in her song
"Often comes the Christ in the stranger's guise"
This is performed by the composer
