Product Description

Commissioned for the 1995 Casals Festival and premiered by the Deutsches Streichtrio, the work is a string trio in 3 movements. It reflects and celebrates the cycle of life. Life, death and rebirth. The first movement "Dancing with the saints" is lively and coloristic. The second movement "Tropical Idyll" is a lament and prayer for the victims , at the time of HIV, and today to the victims of Covid19. The final movement "Domestic Music", reflects by the use of nursery rhymes, songs and even Paganini's "Capriccio #24 for Violin" the exuberance of family life.
