Solo viola arrangement of the "Songs of Captivity & Freedom" by Murray Gold from Doctor Who.  Fans will recognize these melodies from the episodes Planet of the Ood and Journey's End.  A rewarding, uplifting, and cathartic melody for violists.  Can be played by advanced intermediate students & up - especially good for working on vibrato.   Approximately four and half minutes in length.  Arranger's suggestion: players can choose to play some of the higher notes sul D for an especially moving, mournful tone.
