Jarod Sanchez is a professional musician and dedicated music educator based in Las Vegas, specializing in guitar studies, composition, and arranging. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Composition with a minor in Studio Recording Technology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, along with an Associate of Arts in Music and a Certificate in Studio Recording Technology and Business from the College of Southern Nevada.

Jarod currently serves as the Director of Guitar Studies at Somerset Academy Sky Pointe Conservatory of Arts, where he also teaches music theory and leads several guitar-focused student clubs. He regularly features his original compositions and arrangements through the guitar program. His students perform in open-mic style showcases at Grouchy John’s Coffeeshop on the first and third Friday of every month, creating a consistent performance outlet for young musicians.

Beyond education, Jarod is the founder and operator of Hammsterden Records, an independent Las Vegas-based recording studio, creative hub, and music label. At Hammsterden, he produces music across a range of genres—working with indie artists, rappers, and other creatives—while also hosting local showcases to spotlight emerging talent.

Jarod performs with his brother in the band Sanalba and plays guitar in several local groups including Take the Skies, A Valleys, and others. He has collaborated with numerous notable musicians and has performed at esteemed venues and festivals across the country. His live performances are recognized for their passion, energy, and captivating guitar work.

His music has been featured in films such as Everything Good (2023) and Lost In Sound (2023). Drawing on influences from rock, blues, jazz, R&B, and classical guitar, Jarod’s music blends styles into a distinctive and expressive sound.

His previous projects include composing for the Las Vegas Discovery Children’s Museum puppet shows (2020–2021) and working as the sound engineer for The Wood That Sings, a UNLV documentary about the creation and cultural heritage of the marimba pit instrument. He was a featured guitarist in Super Summer Theater’s production of The Wedding Singer, and in 2018, composed and served as Musical Director for the City of Las Vegas Cultural Affairs touring show.

Jarod also brings years of experience as a private guitar instructor, having taught at various music shops, schools, and through the Las Vegas Office of Cultural Affairs. He has built a strong base of returning students through his engaging and structured teaching style.

His career continues to be shaped by growth, experimentation, and a commitment to musical excellence. With a deep passion for music and a drive to innovate, Jarod Sanchez remains a vital force in both education and performance within the Las Vegas music scene and beyond.
