Alan Edgar's Meditations for solo instrument were originally composed as incidental music for the Mystery Plays and the play, Francis (life of St Francis). Slow but short, easy to play, beautiful, moving, in old Church Modes giving a wistful yet peaceful quality, with opportunities for expression of emotion.
