Product Description
This book covers the piano fingering for major and harmonic
minor scales in 2 octave form as well as the arpeggios. It represents the scale
and arpeggio patterns in a visual format, showing the fingering for pianists
upon the keys that form the scale. Scales are presented in the order of Circle
of 5ths, however an alphabetic index is also included at the rear of the book.
Note that the finger numbers on the diagrams do not
represent the position on the key where the finger should press; the student should
use the key depth and move in and out of the black key area as needed for their
hands.
Arpeggios have been represented with 3rd finger and 4th
finger choices. In recent times many pedagogues and expert pianists have
recognised that a players hands are unique to the individual and are
incompatible with rigid 4th and 3rd rules. The player should determine for
themselves which fingering gives their hand the most balance and control in the
arpeggio.
Designed to be printed into an A5 or half-letter booklet or
can be printed full-size.
