This carol, which was used in the Charlie Brown Christmas special from the late 60's, is presented here in a more modern setting. The melody is harmonized in either a quartal chord, or a tritonic chord, using a 4th and 5th together with the root. See the sample for just how this structure appears. It is easy to play and hear. The LH uses open 4ths and 5ths, but in an Alberti-style arpeggiated configuration, so as to contrast with the blocks of sound in the treble. Intermediate and above.
