It is in 3/4 time. The suite Dumyat The first movement is inspired by the Dumyat, a hill just outside of Stirling city centre. The music features a Bagpipe like drone with a haunting melody played over the top. Stirling Bridge The second movement is inspired by the bridge in Stirling. Composed in a minimalist way, the repetition represents the continuos flow of the river. Stirling Castle The third movement is inspired form the commanding presence of the Castle on Stirling's skyline! The music features lots of repetition which represents two army's marching into battle. The 3 pieces are 16 pages in total.
