Programme note:

French composer Maurice Ravel composed the Trois Chansons for SATB choir between the years 1914 and 1915.  'Trois Beaux Oiseaux du Paradis' is the second movement and is dedicated to the French mathematician and politician Paul Painlevè. The original movement includes parts for solo voices, which in this arrangement have been distributed amongst all the recorder parts.  The second movement is dedicated to Mme Paul Clémenceau.
