2020 SMP Press Composition Contest Entry for both choral and instrumental ensembles in the Popular and Sacred categories: This arrangement of a lesser-known, Gloria Gaither Christmas song adds a brass quintet to the original SATB choral setting. It is based on the Christmas story in the Bible's Book of Luke Chapter 2 about Simeon meeting Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus at a temple after the birth. The trumpets play along with the soprano and alto parts, the French horn and trombone play along with the tenor and bass parts, and the tuba also plays the bass part, but an octave lower.  The approximate playing time is about 1.5 minutes, which makes it suitable as either a spirited/joyful opening or encore for a Christmas concert or recital. REJOICE!  (Note: The YouTube link is for a video which contains the lyrics and audio only.)
