Product Description

Flee As a Bird is an old Christian hymn written in the 1840's. The hymn lyrics originated from Psalms 11. I've combined it with Sarasate's Spanish Dance Malaguena for a beautiful, updated medley. We start with Flee As a Bird, then the Spanish Dance, switching from minor to major keys throughout. Near the end, the 2 pieces are combined with the piano playing Flee As a Bird and the violin playing the Spanish Dance.The piece ends with the violin playing the last phrase of Flee As a Bird. This would be appropriate for most any setting and is reverent enough to play in a worship service. I hope you enjoy it. It was a fun project.
