Heart and Soul, a work thats been covered many times since its birth in 1938, is arranged here for Jazz or Dance band. Length is approx. 4 minutes and 27 seconds. Theres an optional vocal part and the bass trombone part is also written such that it is playable for a fourth trombone. Theres a 16-measure improvisational section that can be repeated is needed. (In the improv. section there is a flute and clarinet part which is not intended for performance.) It can also be played by a smaller ensemble dropping the Vocal, Flutes, Tenor Sax 2, Trumpet 4, Trombone 3, and Bass Trombone. These parts are still included.
