It is a song written and performed by the Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti, who co-wrote it with Claudio Guidetti, Maurizio Fabrizio and Adelio Cogliati.[ 1] It was released as a single by Ramazzotti in February 1996, as the first promotional and pre-launch of his album Dove c. 'music ("Where there is music"), which came out on May 13 of that year.[ 2]

The song is dedicated to Swiss model Michelle Hunziker, Ramazotti's partner at the time. Ramazzotti and Hunziker had a daughter who was born just a few months after the release of the song, on December 5, 1996, and whom they called Aurora Sophie.[ 3] [4]

Ramazotti would continue his career by releasing his song "L'aurora," dedicated to his newborn, in February 1997. He later married Hunziker in 1998, and the couple divorced in 2002.[ 4] [5]
