The King of Calypso, Harry Belafonte, recorded this West Indian Carol in the 1950s under the name "The Baby Boy". Another name for this carol is "Glorious Kingdom". In keeping with the driving rhythmic pulse of Caribbean music, each harpist will need to count and play accents carefully! Dynamics, lever and pedal changes are clearly marked.
