The song is best known to English-speaking audiences as "I Wish You Love", with new lyrics by American composer and lyricist, Albert Askew Beach (1924- 1997): introduced in 1957 by Keely Smith as the title cut of her solo debut album, I Wish You Love would become one of Smith's signature songs. The song features a couple of very interesting ascending chromatic progressions, which are pretty cool! This contemporary arrangement has a root-based chord-blocking technique that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements - we hope you enjoy playing it!
