This is the second reed quintet I have written while the shelter-in-place requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic were being observed. The pandemic itself was my inspiration for this four-movement work. Program notes are included with the score and parts. The instrumentation is: soprano saxophone, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, and bassoon. The movements are: Prodrome (Allegro), Cortège (Adagio), Official Response (Allegro molto), and Conclusion (Allegro). The duration is about 15 minutes.
