Product Description

A Piano accompaniment track is also available.

Beethoven's famous Moonlight Sonata (1st mvt) has been given a new treatment here for Alto Sax, Tenor Sax and Piano. I have arranged it in concert D minor from the original C sharp minor to make it more user friendly.

It sits it a steady 2/2 time It has been given an almost rhythmic ostinato in the piano to give it a modern twist. Some areas revert back to the classical nature of the original for variety within. The range of the saxophones is roughly 2 octaves and the tenor has slightly more work than the alto. It has a large dynamic range and is 4 minutes in length.

I have listed it as Intermediate but the youtube clip gives you the full score so you can assess the suitability. Its is intended as a classical crossover showpiece for concerts, recitals, contests or simply something different to add to the repertoire. Price is for the full score and all parts.
