Product Description

"O Waly Waly" is a beautiful, well-known melody more commonly known as "The Water Is Wide." Although traditionally considered an Appalachian folk melody, this hymn tune most certainly has its roots in the land of the Celts. Over the years, "O Waly Waly" has been sung with various hymn texts and psalms. In this arrangement, this tune depicts Isaac Watt's classic "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," and the arrangement even includes a verse of Lowell Mason's original melody "Hamburg" for the middle verse because it so fittingly paints the words: "See, from His head, His hands, His feet. / Sorrow and love flow mingled down."
