Product Description

An arrangement for flute and classical guitar of one of the English composer Edward Elgar's best-known works, Salut d'Amour. He wrote the piece for Caroline Alice Roberts, with whom Elgar was romantically involved, and presented the piece to Miss Roberts as an engagement present in 1888.
My arrangement is for flute and guitar, however the melody instrument could easily be a violin. This is arranged in the key of E major, and the guitar part is pitched in D major, but the guitarist must use a capo at the second fret to bring that part up to E. My wife and i have performed this arrangement in a number of recitals and it works quite well.
