Co-written by Jim Steinman and Dean Pitchford and made famous by singer Bonnie Tyler, "Holding Out For A Hero" is a song that has been relevant to popular culture from 1984 to the present day.  Originally written for the soundtrack of Footloose, the song has since appeared in many TV shows, commercials, and other movies, including the film Shrek 2, and more recently, Disney's TV series Loki.

From the sultry melody, to the female chorus, to the trumpet parts in the original song, this piece is arranged beautifully for trumpet ensemble.  This particular arrangement is 4 minutes long, in the original key, and includes 9 Bb trumpet parts.  The 1st part additionally requires access to a Bb piccolo trumpet.  Parts 1-4 are rather challenging, while parts 5-9 are easier but still fun to play.  The required skill level is approximately that of an undergraduate trumpet studio.
