Product Description

the classic French love song composed by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini, to the words of French poet Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian. The song's timeless message ("The pleasure of love lasts only a moment, the grief of love lasts a lifetime") and it's lovely, lilting melody have made it a favorite of great singers, including great opera stars and popular songsters. Elvis Presley used the melody as the basis for his song "Can't Help Falling in Love with You."
