An arrangement of the classic jazz standard "Misty" written for solo flugelhorn and trumpet ensemble accompaniment.
This work utilizes a combination of soft, delicate playing in the accompaniment contrasting with a powerful lead trumpet line written up to a High D above the staff. The solo part includes short moments of improvisation and the written melody should be loosely followed.
