Group Lessons and Piano Ensembles have been growing in popularity, and what a wonderful opportunity to bring everyone together. The beauty of this arrangement is how flexible it is: All the parts can be played in 1 large group. Mix & match parts: Pianist 3 & 4 are a stand alone Duet. Pianist 5 is a stand alone Solo. Pianist 1 can be a Solo- but use the Pianist 4 as an Optional Teacher Duet. Pianist 2 is an easier stand alone Solo. Dont have an advanced student to play Pianist 5? Parts 1 - 4 are sufficient on their own.
In this Multi Leveled Piano Ensemble, youll find:
All parts get to enjoy the melody, some might need to learn it by rote, due to syncopation.
Pianist 1: Both hands stay in Middle C position, and only plays the melody throughout; using 1 hand at a time .
Pianist 2: Moves between G and Middle C positions, with the melody in Right Hand. Left Hand begins to adds some accompaniment notes, but sparingly.
Pianist 3/Primo: Top half of the Duet. Melody comes in the Right Hand, but in the middle switches to accompaniment so the Secondo gets to shine too.
Pianist 4/Secondo: Bottom half of the Duet. Traditional accompaniment patterns until the middle- everyone likes a chance to play the melody once in a while!
Pianist 5/ Solo: This part gets all the fun! Is a stand alone Solo or the Leader of the group.
