Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us is a hymn written by Dorothy A. Thrupp (1779 - 1847), an English-born songwriter. It first appeared in 1836 in her song collection, Hymns for the Young. William Batchelder Bradbury (1816 1868) wrote the music, and also wrote the tune to the popular children's song, Jesus Loves Me.
