Product Description

A sacred hymn remembering the First Vision of the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1820. Music by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann Snowball. See text below:

When Joseph knelt in solitude Deep in a grove of trees

His prayer was to the God above, Soliciting with pleas.

Among the blossoms of the Spring, Surrounded by new life,

Young Josephs mind was questioning His soul mid mortal strife.

He felt convicted of his sins And longed for sure relief,

But as he cried for mercy there, His tongue was locked in grief.

Exerting all his strength and faith, His prayer ascended high.

Just then, in heavnly light, appeared Two beings who did comply.

Then listening with ears attuned, Young Joseph heard these words:

"This is my dear, beloved Son. Hear Him!" His soul was stirred.

"Thy sins are now forgiven thee" Were precious words on earth.

Then God began to open up An era of new birth.

New birth, new life, new blossoms come In early Spring each year.

Like Joseph then, we too may know Pure truths from Father dear.

Hell open heaven for our view Like buds upon a limb,

Which gives sure promise for our souls. Gods love will not be dim.

O, hear Him now, yes, hear Him now; His voice is meant for all.

And kneel down low like Joseph did; Hell answer evry call.

O, trust God as He opens wide His love for evry soul.

Like blossoms in the early Spring, His life will make us whole.
