Product Description

A beautiful Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann Snowball. See the text below:

Jesus was the firstborn Son Who belonged to God,

So a sacrifice was made, Demonstrating laud.

Shekels at the temple gate, And two pigeons there,

Proved the offering complete For redeeming care.

Joseph and sweet Mary brought this so wondrous Child

To Jerusalem that day, Simply meek and mild.

Jesus was presented pure After forty days,

For it was the law of God; There were no delays.

Simeon, a prophet then, Waited many years

For there was a promise made Hed behold, like seers,

Images of Christ the King Ere his dying day.

When he saw that Baby near He was known to say:

"For mine eyes have seen this day!  For mine eyes have seen!

Thy salvation was prepared As a light to glean."

Taking Jesus in his arms, Praising his great name,

He could now depart in peace For his Savior came!

"Glory to all Israel" Was his prophecy,

And a spear would pierce Christs side So men could be free.

Marys soul was wounded then, But this sign was sure.

Jesus is the saving One; Hes our mortal cure!
